Spanish Chef “Chele” Gonzalez has had a love for the kitchen and all its intimacies from a very early age, having studied culinary arts in Bilbao and working some of the world’s most renowned restaurants, including Andra Mari, Arzak, El Bulli, El Celler de Can Roca, Nerua-Guggenheim and Mugaritz. His culinary philosophy revolves around an adventurous spirit and a deep respect for local culture, flavor and technique. Since moving to the Philippines in 2013, he became known as “The Innovative Chef”, striving to find new ingredients and ways to understand food. He holds multiple culinary awards in both the Philippines and Asia — including two back-to-back accolades in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. Chef Chele heads “Gallery by Chele”, “Enye by Chele Gonzalez”, “See.Food by Chele” and “ADVICHE”, his consulting arm.
